Can you answer 'yes' to this question

"Do all staff have training in oral health care?" [KLOE E5]

The training session will raise awareness of the importance of daily mouth care as well as practical advice for those people that are dependent or need assistance in oral care techniques. It will provide carers with the knowledge and ability to plan and deliver daily mouth care particularly for people that resist as well as palliative mouthcare management and people that have complex needs.

Participants not only learn about different oral hygiene aids and techniques but also common health issues in association with oral health, effective communication and behaviour management techniques. The training extends beyond the minimal education provided by aged-care sector training organizations.

If you have not participated in a live webinar let me walk you through! The live webinars are similar to attending an in-house training session at your workplace, they are interactive and allow communication in an engaging way.

What do you need?

  • A computer or mobile device (phone or tablet);

  • A reliable internet connection.

How does the webinar  work?

Once you  have selected a suitable date and time from the calendar below,  a confirmation email will be sent within 12hrs  with a link for the webinar.

Forward this link onto staff that will be using their own device. The advantages with delivering training via webinar is that staff can join anywhere!

Once the participant has clicked onto the link, you will be prompted to download the Zoom conference app onto the device (if it is not already installed).  If you have logged in before the host is ready you will be placed in a 'waiting room'  and welcomed when the host arrives.

The structure of a webinar  is similar to that of  In-House training format; during the webinar you will be able to view the presentation and see the presenter.   Interaction is via a poll if multiple devices are used, don't worry, these are  simple yes or no answers which are sent through anonymously and are viewed privately by the host.  If however a small number of devices are being used (up to three), the host will communicate directly with staff via video and audio encouraging discussion.

Are there recordings?

The webinar is not recorded due to the dynamics of live events.

How do I enrol?

Complete the form below, select a date and time  of when you like a group Oral Care Training webinar session to take place for your staff.  You will receive a confirmation email with a link, this link is required to access the webinar and therefore should be forwarded onto other staff members that are using their own device.  A reminder will be sent closer to the webinar date.

Just complete the form below

What happens after the webinar?

After the webinar session, participants will be asked to write their names in the chat box, this will act as the register and then asked to fill in a simple online feedback form.

Certificates (2hrs verifiable CPD)  and resources will be sent after training if payment has been made prior to the event;.  If payment is outstanding the paperwork will be sent on receipt of payment.
