Highlane Care Home. Support Worker⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Webinar sessions are tailored to your care home. We encourage interaction with discussion using audio or via non-verbal poll depending on the webinar set up of the care home. Verifiable CPD certificates are issued for participants, downloadable resources and best practice oral care samples are posted out.
Our aim is to reach out to as many carers as possible to train and support them to help improve/maintain the oral health of residents.
Oral healthcare is exceptionally crucial with the potential connection between microorganisms in the mouth and complications associated with COVID-19, especially as intermediate and long-term care are often at high risk of oral health problems because of their other chronic and sometimes, complex current conditions.

TELL ME MORE - HOW DOES IT WORK?
If you have not participated in a live webinar let me walk you through! The live webinars are similar to attending an in-house training session at your workplace, they are interactive and allow communication in an engaging way.
What do you need?
A computer or mobile device (phone or tablet);
A reliable internet connection.
How does the webinar work?
Once you have selected a suitable date and time from the calendar below, a confirmation email will be sent within 12hrs with a link for the webinar.
Forward this link onto staff that will be using their own device. The advantages with delivering training via webinar is that staff can join anywhere!
Once the participant has clicked onto the link, you will be prompted to download the Zoom conference app onto the device (if it is not already installed). If you have logged in before the host is ready you will be placed in a 'waiting room' and welcomed when the host arrives.
The structure of a webinar is similar to that of In-House training format; during the webinar you will be able to view the presentation and see the presenter. Interaction is via a poll if multiple devices are used, don't worry, these are simple yes or no answers which are sent through anonymously and are viewed privately by the host. If however a small number of devices are being used (up to three), the host will communicate directly with staff via video and audio encouraging discussion.
Are there recordings?
The webinar is not recorded due to the dynamics of live events.
