2hrs Essential Oral Care Training held every 2nd Tuesday of the month.  
Designed for Healthcare Professionals that work independently.
  •  Learning Objectives
  • On successful completion of this course participants will be able to:


  • Have a better understanding of how to assist vulnerable adults with basic daily oral hygiene procedures and denture care

  • Have a better understanding of the mouth to include tooth anatomy and dental disease and recognise abnormalities

  • Recognise the need for specialised mouth care and supporting people who require assistance

  • Have a better understanding of what to look for when carrying out an Oral Health Assessment.

  • Outline the potential effects of poor oral health on an individual's general health and well-being

  • Oral care and dementia. Coping strategies for residents with challenging behaviour towards mouth care

Provide Daily Mouth Care for dependent and medically compromised residents 


Provide evidence-based method recommended to the dental profession to reduce COVID-19 in the mouth.
